What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner assisting with the maintenance of a secure atmosphere for patients visitors and staff.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Observe and report any unusual activities and/or incidents documenting findings according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits verifying credentials and helping to direct visitors as needed.
• Communicate and collaborate with healthcare staff and local authorities as required to support security-related objectives.
• Remain alert to environmental and/or behavioral changes that could indicate a need for intervention or assistance.
• Participate in training and ongoing development to stay current with Allied Universal and healthcare-specific security-related procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• At least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
• Hospital-required vaccines are required.
• A valid drivers license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
