Job Summary
- Maintain accurate accounting records for two UK entities
- Ensure proper recognition of revenue and expenses in accordance with accounting principles
- Prepare monthly management accounts and internal financial reports
- Coordinate with local UK accounting and tax advisors regarding VAT returns and statutory filings
- Review and validate VAT calculations and draft returns prepared by external consultants
- Provide timely and complete documentation to local advisors for reporting purposes
- Monitor VAT control accounts and perform reconciliations
- Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Support year-end closing process and liaise with external auditors
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures
- Support intercompany transactions and reconciliations across entities
Qualifications :
- At least 3 years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of accounting principles financial reporting logic and supporting documentation requirements
- Practical experience in a UK accounting environment (strongly preferred)
- Clear understanding of VAT mechanics and expense recognition
- Proficient in 1C and Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Xero or QuickBooks is an advantage
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage document flow efficiently
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Intermediate English proficiency
- Responsible and capable of managing multiple accounting processes independently
- Ability to coordinate external advisors and critically review their work
WILL BE A PLUS
- Previous experience working with UK-based entities
- Experience reviewing VAT returns prepared by external accountants
- Experience in multi-entity or international environments
