To lay strong technical foundations for Level Design from the very first iterations we are looking for a Technical Director - Level Design.
This is a central role on the project combining technical vision hands-on prototyping and daily collaboration with the design teams.
You will join the project at a stage where everything is being built tested and refined.
Your role
As Technical Director - Level Design you will be responsible for the technical direction of Level Design on the project.
You will play a key role in designing and optimizing the tools and technical processes that support Level Design.
- Define and evolve the technical direction for Level Design on the project;
- Design and implement Level Design pipelines and workflows in collaboration with technical and creative teams;
- Act as a technical point of reference fostering smooth communication between design programming art and production;
- Provide designers with appropriate technical solutions (editor tools scripts data debugging);
- Prototype directly in the engine (UE5) to test and validate design intentions;
- Support project teams on technical topics related to Level Design and World Building;
- Contribute to the technical documentation of tools and pipelines.

Qualifications :
What we are looking for
Your expertise
- Proven experience in Technical Level Design or a similar role;
- Strong proficiency with a modern game engine ideally Unreal Engine;
- Solid understanding of production pipelines and data management related to Level Design;
- Good knowledge of the technical and artistic constraints of game content;
- Awareness of performance stability and optimization challenges;
- Ability to produce clear and accessible technical documentation.
Your approach
- You are autonomous detailoriented and take ownership of your responsibilities;
- You enjoy handson work and prototyping;
- You willingly share knowledge and encourage collaboration within the team;
- You are comfortable giving and receiving feedback with your peers.
