The Department of Paediatrics is seeking a full-time associate paediatric cardiologist to provide effective paediatric cardiology services at both hospital sites. Remuneration is fee-for-service as set by the OHIP Schedule of Benefits and Fees. Successful applicants are expected to have an academic appointment at Toronto Metropolitan School of Medicine.
Accountabilities:
- Share in the reporting and interpretation of all paediatric diagnostic cardiology including EKG Holter monitoring and echocardiography
- Provide clinic based paediatric cardiology consultations to paediatricians and family physicians in the Osler catchment area
- Urgent paediatric cardiology consultations will be provided to the on-call paediatricians in the NICU and the inpatient Paediatric Unit
About the program
Osler offers state-of-the-art paediatric diagnostic cardiac services and this is an exciting opportunity to work in the Greater Toronto Area in a large volume regional paediatric centre. Osler is a designated Regional Maternal Newborn and Paediatric Centre with an Advanced Level 2C NICU. Inpatient beds are comprised of 39 NICU beds and 26 inpatient paediatric beds.
Qualifications :
- Certificate of Registration to practice from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
- Hold a Fellowship in Paediatric Cardiology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and/or American Academy of Pediatrics
- Excellent communication skills in English (additional languages are considered an asset as we serve a highly diverse population)
