Salary:

The annual salary for this position ranges from $70000 - $90000 and varies based on specific responsibilities and geographic location. Starting annual salary within this range will be determined based on the candidates experience qualifications and/or skillset. 

Summary:

The Production Supervisor oversees and coordinates the efforts of the hourly production employees focusing on driving safety quality and productivity. They ensure that product specifications are met with a high standard of quality. They are responsible to make sure compliance is met with all standards policies regulations for the safe environmentally sound production of a quality product.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for meeting plant and company objectives.
• Perform day-to-day operations on the production floor with constant emphasis on safety quality delivery and cost.
• Provide leadership management and motivation to attain high levels of employee achievement and retention
• Develop implement and enforce operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality and revenue
• Run production lines and machines when employees are absent or the plant is shorthanded with workers.
• Assuring conformance of finished product to company industry and customer specifications at minimum cost and optimum efficiency.
• Directing teaching coaching and training of production employees.
• Responsible for maintaining shop floor metrics visual controls and continuous improvement methods to the manufacturing floor.
• Supervision of production associates including performance reviews onboarding discipline and terminations.
• Hire new employees as needed
• Monitoring and administering attendance and vacation.
• Ability to function in a fast paced dynamic environment.
• Having in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and improvement processes.
• Ability to effectively implement change.
• Possessing knowledge of safety health and environmental rules laws requirements and applicable Signode policies.
• Other duties as assigned by plant manager.

Qualifications :

Education:

High School diploma or GED.

Experience:

• 5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Minimum 1 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. OR any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform this positions key responsibilities.
