The BSA/AML Director of Quality Assurance & Training plays a critical role in supporting the Wynn Resorts Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) compliance program by overseeing quality assurance activities and AML training initiatives. This role oversees investigations customer due diligence and Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR) to ensure they meet regulatory requirements and internal standards while promoting consistent accurate and risk-based transaction monitoring and Know Your Customer (KYC) decision-making across the Companys North America properties.
Job Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Improvement
- Develop implement and maintain BSA/AML QA policies procedures and review standards.
- Conduct comprehensive quality assurance testing and audits of SARs CDD EDD files transaction monitoring alerts and related investigations to ensure accuracy consistency and compliance.
- Identify trends errors and process gaps and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist in identifying and assessing operational and compliance risks within the BSA/AML program.
- Support internal audits external audits risk assessments regulatory exams and compliance reviews.
- Prepare reports and metrics for leadership and compliance committee on QA results trends and improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Compliance Legal Internal/External Audit Operations regulators and external partners to validate the effectiveness of AML control implementations
- Identify process improvements and recommend enhancements to strengthen AML program effectiveness
Training and Leadership
- Manage the BSA/AML Training Program for Title 31 and Title 26 compliance including annual and role-based training.
- Develop update and deliver AML training content and materials.
- Track training completion and maintain records to meet regulatory requirements.
- Lead coach and develop a team of BSA/AML QA specialists.
- Provide guidance to promote consistent decision-making and high-quality work.
- Support performance management and professional development.
- Stay current on BSA/AML regulations OFAC requirements and industry best practices.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Finance Business Law Accounting or related field.
- Minimum of 5 (five) years of experience in AML compliance financial crime prevention financial services banking payments industry or related field preferably with a focus on the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and AML regulations. Working knowledge of banking regulations and BSA/AML requirements (e.g. Bank Secrecy Act & OFAC).
- Experience with AML monitoring software and reporting tools including data analysis.
- Experience and familiarity with casino operations and gaming regulations.
- Proficiency in compliance testing methodologies and quality assurance best practices.
- ACAMS certification (Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists) preferred.
- Six Sigma ISO or other quality assurance certifications preferred.
- Strong ability to interpret regulatory documents and communicate findings clearly and professionally.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
- Previous leadership or mentoring experience.
- Strong ethical standards and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English in both oral and written forms.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards required at present or in the future for this position.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
