Job Description
As a Security Officer - Parking Garage Patrol in Overland Park KS you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a tech and telecom location you will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents and respond to access and alarm activity as needed. You will provide customer-focused service clear communication and detailed reporting while supporting a culture that is agile reliable innovative people-first and grounded in integrity and teamwork.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients contractors vendors and/or visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures access guidelines and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond to alarms access control alerts and/or other incidents in a calm problem-solving manner and communicate timely updates to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas building entrances equipment rooms loading areas and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor cameras and other security-related systems as assigned document observations and report unusual conditions maintenance concerns and/or potential hazards per post orders.
- Complete detailed reports of daily activities incidents and/or access events and support security-related investigations by preserving observations and assisting with evidence handling as directed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
