As a Airport Security Professional - Curbside Patrolin Lihue HI you will safeguard the airport staff and its facilities. Along with driving patrolling checking and securing doors.As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal serving a government location you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for all visitors and staff. Position Type: Full Time - Afternoon

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $3.93. The premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers visitors and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures location-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities within an airport environment.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminals gates parking areas access roads and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas by checking credentials and/or passes as directed by post orders and report concerns to appropriate airport and/or government personnel.
• Respond to incidents alarms and service requests in a calm problem-solving manner including assisting with crowd management and/or directing people to appropriate resources.
• Complete detailed reports and logs of patrols incidents and unusual activity and communicate observations promptly using radios phones and/or other approved systems.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Be able to lift up to 20 pounds preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
