Job Description
As a Security Officer - Corrections Facility in Tulsa OK you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a government location you will monitor activity conduct routine patrols and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support orderly operations through access control observations report writing and clear communication with staff and visitors. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors employees and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner escalating to site contacts and/or public emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings parking areas and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Control access at designated entry points by checking identification issuing visitor passes monitoring entry and exit activity and directing guests to appropriate departments.
- Complete reports and logs for incidents patrol activities and daily operations and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
- A Corrections Officer License is required.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
