Job Description
As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol in Council Bluffs IA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more. As an unarmed patrol officer in a manufacturing and industrial location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas complete routine rounds and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support visitors and employees with professional customer service clear communication and timely reporting while using Allied Universal tools as needed. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and location leadership.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas warehouses trailers parking areas and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Control access at gates and/or entry points by checking identification verifying authorization issuing visitor directions and documenting arrivals and departures per site requirements.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including contacting site contacts and/or public emergency services when needed.
- Complete routine reports incident documentation and shift activity logs and communicate noteworthy observations to oncoming personnel and site representatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A state county or city issued security license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
