Job Summary

A well-established Grower/Shipper/Packer is searching for an Operations Manager for their frozen fruit division to join their team in Florida. The Operations Manager for the frozen fruit process is responsible for overseeing daily processing operations ensuring efficient production product quality food safety compliance and cost control. This role leads production teams manages processing workflows and collaborates across departments to meet production targets while maintaining strict adherence to food safety quality and regulatory standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day frozen fruit processing operations including receiving washing sorting packaging and storage.
Plan and execute production schedules to meet customer demand and inventory requirements.
Monitor process efficiency; implement improvements as needed.
Ensure equipment is operated safely and effectively coordinate with maintenance for repairs and preventive maintenance.
Ensure compliance with all food safety and quality standards including GMPs HACCP FSMA and customer specifications.
Work closely with Quality Assurance to address deviations corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate production quality and traceability records.
Supervise train and develop production supervisors and hourly employees.
Enforce safety policies standard operating procedures (SOPs) and company policies.
Promote a culture of accountability teamwork and continuous improvement.
Monitor raw material usage yields and waste to optimize production costs.
Collaborate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure adequate raw material and packaging supplies.
Track labor and production costs; identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Coordinate with Quality Maintenance Logistics and Sales/Planning teams to support operational goals.
Support audits customer visits and regulatory inspections as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and processing standards.
Proven experience leading production teams in a manufacturing environment.
Strong organizational problem-solving and communication skills.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Flexibility to work extended hours weekends or peak seasonal schedules as needed.
