Job Description
As a Security Officer Flex Armed Vehicle Driver in Harlingen TX you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. Learn more: As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail location you will drive between assigned areas conduct routine patrols stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents and respond to alarms and calls for service with clear communication and customer-focused support. This post requires a valid drivers license and Level III Armed Certification. You will represent an agile reliable and innovative team that puts people first and leads with integrity.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients team members and shoppers while carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Carry and maintain authorized duty weapon and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies applicable laws and post orders including completing required inspections and documentation.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner providing assistance coordinating with management and/or law enforcement and documenting actions taken.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location sales floor back-of-house areas and exterior perimeter to help to deter theft vandalism and/or unauthorized activity.
- Monitor entry points loading areas and other controlled spaces verify credentials as required observe for suspicious behavior and complete detailed reports on hazards incidents and unusual activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Level III Armed Certification is required for Texas only.
- A state county or city issued security license is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
