As a Security Officer - Flex Armed Roving Patrol in Jacksonville FL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to the client by carrying out Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures access control practices and when appropriate emergency response activities at a utilities location.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting actions taken and escalating issues through the chain of command as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings substations yards and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity identifying and reporting hazards suspicious conditions and maintenance concerns.
- Monitor gates entry points and authorized work areas verifying identification and/or credentials controlling vehicle and pedestrian traffic and maintaining accurate visitor contractor and delivery logs.
- Complete detailed daily activity reports and incident reports support investigations with clear observations and maintain required equipment and readiness in accordance with post orders and applicable regulations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have a minimum of one year of armed security-related law enforcement and/or military experience.
- Have a TSA issued TWIC.
- Have an armed guard card and/or license.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
