What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents staff and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at the shelter location.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of living areas common spaces exterior grounds and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances hallways and other key areas verifying access and directing visitors according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner de-escalating conflicts when appropriate and requesting additional support as needed.
• Document observations incidents and patrol activity in written reports and/or electronic logs and communicate status updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state county and/or city issued security license is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
