As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Assignment in Bessemer AL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. As an Allied Universal Officer at a fast-paced tech and media location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds and maintain a visible presence that helps reduce security-related concerns. You will support access control points assist with screening and badge processes as directed and provide customer-focused communication to employees and visitors. You will represent a team that is agile reliable innovative and always acts with integrity.

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner escalating concerns through the chain of command and documenting actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility offices common areas and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Control access by monitoring entry and exit points verifying identification and/or authorization where required and directing visitors vendors and deliveries according to site procedures.
• Complete daily activity reports incident reports and patrol logs and communicate key information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts during shift turnover.

Minimum Requirements:

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
