Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Rapid Response in Brooklyn NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer supporting a high-visibility government transportation location. You will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents respond to calls for assistance and provide clear communication and customer service to riders and staff. This post requires an Armed Guard Card or License and a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit with professionalism integrity and teamwork at the center of every shift.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to passengers employees and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
- Perform armed post duties in accordance with Allied Universal policies post orders and applicable laws and/or regulations including proper handling storage and documentation of assigned weapon and equipment.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including coordinating with site contacts and public law enforcement as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of stations platforms entrances parking areas and perimeter areas; observe and report unusual activity and conditions that may help to deter unwanted behavior.
- Control access to restricted areas verify identification and/or credentials when required and complete detailed reports of incidents patrol activity and daily observations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
- Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
