Job Description
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Concierge in Brooklyn NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and visitor flow document observations and communicate clearly with staff and the public. Bring a customer-service mindset teamwork and integrity as you help maintain a respectful well-run environment.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff residents and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas exterior grounds and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Monitor access points and common areas observe for unusual conditions and assist with visitor check-in and/or directing individuals to the appropriate department in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including de-escalation support contacting the appropriate agency and/or supervisor and coordinating response until relieved.
- Document observations incidents and patrol activity in written reports and/or electronic logs and communicate timely updates to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 6 months of security experience.
- Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
