Academic Interventionist and Teacher Student Success ProgramThe Student Success Program at Burr and Burton Academy is designed to support students who experience significant adversity in their lives. Rooted in the principles of Goals Habits Growth the program helps students discover their strengths develop independence and chart purposeful paths toward career and life goals of the Student Success Program are for students to:Become self-reliant and resilient and have a strong sense of financial and social navigate relationships and resources with the goal of ultimately contributing positively to the greater good of the Burr and Burton community and society as a a sense of self-worth and advocacy through the process of setting and realizing personal and professional the program principles of Goals Habits Growth students: Set clear achievable goals and establish a future routines and practices that lead to long-term academically socially and seeks a full-time academic interventionist for the Student Success program beginning July 2026. As part of BBAs Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) the academic interventionist oversees the progress of students facing academic challenges that require specific and targeted interventions. The academic interventionist partners with teachers students and staff to develop and implement individualized plans focusing particularly on supportive accountability and skill addition the academic interventionist participates in the Summer Success Camp for incoming 9th grade students and plays a leading collaborative role in teaching classes in the Student Success program. Ideal candidates are professional educators who have experience working with teaching and supporting high school students. Candidates must have strong organizational and communication skills a caring disposition and an ability to employ trauma-informed pedagogy and Universal Design for Learning.
