Job Description
As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol in Alexandria VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings parking areas and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
- Respond to alarms calls for assistance and critical incidents in a calm problem-solving manner coordinating with site leadership and/or local emergency services as needed.
- Control access at entrances and restricted areas by verifying credentials directing foot and vehicle traffic and documenting security-related activity per post orders.
- Complete timely reports on incidents patrol observations and unusual occurrences and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Baton Certification is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
