Working in conjunction with a Metropolitan Transit Task Force and our client security teams. MetroLink security professionals provide safety and security of riders on the transit light rail system station platforms throughout the Greater St. Louis region. Customer service skills are a high priority. This is an outdoor posted position. Duties will include post security until relieved.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Preferred Skills: Ability to Lift 20 Pounds

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff visitors and the public by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including documenting observations and notifying the appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings grounds and perimeter areas monitoring for unusual activity and conditions that may help to deter unwanted behavior.
• Control access by checking identification directing foot and vehicle traffic and maintaining visitor logs and/or access records in accordance with site requirements.
• Operate and monitor security-related systems such as radios cameras and alarm panels when assigned and communicate updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of 1 years of security experience is required.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Handcuffs and/or pepper spray and/or baton experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
