What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors employees and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings public areas parking lots and the perimeter to help to identify and report suspicious activity hazards and policy violations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including de-escalating conflicts and coordinating with site personnel and/or public agencies as needed.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas verify identification and/or authorization when required and assist with directing foot traffic and vehicles to support orderly operations.
- Complete detailed reports on incidents patrol observations and service calls and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site contacts in a timely manner.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
