Job Description
As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Rover in Birmingham AL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location where you will conduct routine patrols maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents and support employees and visitors with courteous service and clear communication. You will document observations respond to situations as they arise and use teamwork to support site operations. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including coordinating with site leadership and public responders as directed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility including lobbies teller and service areas ATM and vestibule areas corridors stairwells and exterior perimeter.
- Monitor access points and observe for suspicious or unusual activity helping to deter unauthorized entry theft and disruptive behavior; report concerns per post orders.
- Complete required reports and logs such as patrol documentation incident reports and shift turnover notes and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal management and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 1 years of security experience.
- Have 6 months armed security law enforcement and/or military experience.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Have customer service experience preferred.
- Be able to lift up to 20 lbs preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
