JOB DESCRIPTIONOverall purpose
The Assistant Campus Manager is responsible for overseeing the operational requirements of one of the Colleges campuses in line with the Regent College London (RCL) objectives to ensure an exceptional student and staff experience is met. This involves proactive management and communication with all stakeholders.
The Assistant Campus Manager supports the Campus Operations Manager and provides day-to-day. The role works collaboratively with all teams within the RCL verticals to ensure effective delivery of on-campus activity so that the student and staff experience is to a high standard.Specific duties and responsibilities
The role involves:- Be an active presence at a specific RCL campus to support the front facing staff in day-to-day operations.
- Oversee and supervise the Campus Liaison Officers (CLOs) and manage day-to-day performance standards and conduct on shift.
- Report to Campus Operations Manager in relation to CLO absence punctuality and shift cover and ensure clear handovers.
- Manage and produce the CLO rota for the campus on a weekly basis ensuring adequate cover for peak periods events and campus opening hours.
- Ensure the cleaners have maintained the required standards of cleanliness of the campus and escalate issues promptly where standards are not met.
- Carry out campus related activities such as fire drills regular H&S checks update/report the accident / incident book print registers and day view initiate purchase orders stock checks and maintenance and classroom set up which may require moving of furniture.
- Ensure daily weekly and monthly checks are carried out as instructed by management recorded accurately and sent to the Health & Safety team.
- Maintain a local actions log of operational issues incidents and outstanding works (what owner due date) and follow through to closure.
- Be a single point of contact to coordinate with Facilities Team to ensure all works are carried out to an acceptable and functional level including overseeing visits from contractors.
- Coordinate IT related issues/activities with respective teams and track issues through to resolution.
- Oversee the opening and closing of campus including daily inspections of the site and proactive steps to resolve matters without unnecessary escalation.
- Introduce all staff to the First Aiders and Fire Marshalls of the campus and ensure information is current and visible on site.
- Play an active role in student engagement activities and events including Induction Freshers fair and Graduation ensuring rooms signage and set up are ready.
- Assist CLOs in ensuring students and staff are fully informed on their classrooms and changes that take place. Ensure classrooms are fit for purpose and well equipped for class delivery.
- Oversight of the administration and teaching delivery at the RCL campus working in partnership with other services to ensure the service delivery is taking place as planned.
- Work in collaboration with other ACMs Campus Operations Manager and the Facilities team to ensure effective compliance with legislation including Health and Safety.
- Maintain professional standards while representing Regent as a brand understanding and promoting the Colleges strategy and policy.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement for processes and procedures at RCL campuses and implement agreed improvements.
- Deputise for specific issues as and where appropriate for the Campus Operations Manager and Chief Operating Officer.
- Flexibility to cover other campuses as and when required.
- Ensure upkeep of the campus.

Essential:- Has broad based experience of operational management in a complex organisation
- Experience delivering a high level of customer service
- Basic Health and Safety knowledge
- Ability to deal effectively and sensitively with a range of people over practical issues
- Excellent IT skills with experience of MS package
- Good organisational and time management skills
Desirable:- Experience within a Further Education or Higher Education setting
- Demonstrable experience of improving customer service levels
- NEBOSH IOSH or equivalent qualification
- Line management of staff at a range of sites/remote line management experience
- Educated to Degree standard or equivalent
