Job Description
As a Security Officer Armed CCW Patrol in New York NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a financial institution location you will conduct routine patrols remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and document observations. You will respond to alarms and requests for assistance provide clear communication with staff and visitors and deliver a customer-focused presence. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff customers and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures access control requirements and visitor management protocols at a financial services location.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior areas exterior grounds parking areas and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or operational concerns.
- Monitor CCTV intrusion and/or fire alarm panels and other security-related systems when assigned and report unusual activity hazards or policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including de-escalating disputes when possible and coordinating with Allied Universal leadership and emergency services as needed.
- Complete detailed reports of daily activities patrol findings and incidents and communicate key updates during shift changes to support consistent post operations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
- Have 1 years of armed security law enforcement and/or military experience.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
