Job Description
As a Armed Security Officer - Day Shiftin Las Vegas NV you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds support access control and badge checks and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns document activity and provide clear professional customer service. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Conduct armed patrols on foot and/or by vehicle throughout buildings public areas and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor entrances screening checkpoints and restricted areas; verify identification manage access lists and direct visitors to appropriate destinations in accordance with site requirements.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including initiating notifications coordinating with site representatives and/or local law enforcement and following post orders.
- Complete detailed reports on patrol observations access activity and incident response; maintain required armed post qualifications and follow Allied Universal and client policies for equipment handling and use of force.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 1 years of armed security-related law enforcement and/or military experience.
- Have 1 years of security-related experience.
- Possess an armed guard card/license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
