Principal Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
Developing new DSP algorithms to be used in optical transceivers.
Documenting design details and collaborating with ASIC firmware and verification teams to reliably transfer the design to ASIC products.
Implementing bit-accurate and cycle-accurate models for ASIC implementation.
Modeling RF frontends and optical components and evaluating the impact of non-idealities on performance measures.
Researching inventing modeling and simulating digital signal processing (DSP) techniques required for optical transceivers.
Verifying and optimizing performance through simulation of floating-point and fixed-point models.
Preferred Qualifications:
10 years of DSP experience.
Masters or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering Physics or Mathematics.
Experience in modeling communication systems.
Experience in modeling optical components and electrical frontends of optical transceivers
Experience with DSP and/or FEC for optical communications.
Experience with version control systems specifically GitHub.
Experienced in link budget analysis for optical links.
Programming experience in C/C Python Matlab or similar languages.
Team player with a mindset focused on the successful delivery of the first product.
