Job Description
As a Security Officer - Flex Access Control in Wilmington DE you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to site personnel drivers and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Control access at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification and authorization issuing and collecting visitor credentials and maintaining visitor and contractor logs.
- Screen and direct inbound and outbound vehicle and foot traffic including coordinating deliveries and contractor check-ins in accordance with location rules and access requirements.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner and communicate timely updates to site leadership and/or public responders as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points operational areas and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions requiring attention.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
