Your role
Keeping people and society safe - Saab serves the global market of governments authorities and corporations with products services and solutions ranging from military defence to civil security.
Saab is globally in a growth journey and are right now expanding in India read more about the journey in the factory located in Jhajjar at Reliance MET township here this position you will have a key role you are central to ensuring compliance with laws and regulations regarding Quality and ISO certifications. You will be located in the factory in Jhajjar.
Your role as a Quality Environmental & Safety Manager at Saab involves managing quality work continuous improvement internal audits and ensuring that customer requirements and international standards are met.
The ISO certifications you will primarily work with are: ISO 9001 ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
Your responsibilities will include;
- Implementation and maintenance: Building and maintaining documented procedures according to the ISO standard.
- Continuous improvements
- Internal and external audits
You are also expected to have contact with authorities regarding both the environmental and the occupational health and safety area.
In your role you will have close contact with colleagues in Sweden who work in the same area and will give you support in queries you may have.

Therefore other responsibilities that will be part of your assignment may include:
- Act as support in the systematic work environment and act as an expert in safety rounds and risk assessments
- Perform workplace safety measures and provide knowledge in chemical health risks and workplace safety legislation
- Occupational safety and health risk assessments are conducted to identify and manage occupational health and safety risks.
- Ensure correct classification and labelling of chemicals in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Actively participate in cooperation and knowledge exchange with chemical and environmental functions from different departments within the organization.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with an university degree as an Quality Engineer or similar field. Furthermore you have documented experience of working with ISO 9001 ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
If you have worked internationally with similar issues and implementation of international standards we see it as a strong merit.
You have good experience in training and informing staff about requirements in the field and this requires that you have good communication skills in both Hindi and English spoken and written.
As a person you are self-driven have good responsibility and integrity.
As the work involves a lot of legislation and documentation you are very structured and thorough as a person. You enjoy working in a team-oriented manner and enjoy being in social contexts. You are motivated by working in a changing environment and adapt to changing requirements and regulations.
We also expect that you will follow all the security processes and have a deep safety awareness and follow the company rules regarding these areas.
The position requires that you undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations and undergo a security vetting.
