Description:
The normal summer season is approximately May through September. Opportunities may exist to begin earlier and work later. Most positions involve outdoor work and strenuous physical labor. Seasonal employees are paid only for hours worked.
Duties:
Perform skilled activities on maintenance crew. Work depends on crew assignment but may include: flagging driving pilot car repairing and installing delineators and signs striping highways repairing bridges and concrete Right-of-Way clean-up hand or machine mowing driving truck asphalt patching sealing weed spraying painting general clean up transporting loading and unloading materials.
General Requirements:
Must be age 18. Valid drivers license required. Ability to perform strenuous physical labor occasional heavy lifting and operate hand tools. Travel required for some positions.
Please note this is a temporary or seasonal non-benefited position exempt from civil service.
