Early Childhood Learning & Wellness Services (ECLW) is housed at CPC Manhattan Community Services and is a partner of the New York City Child Care Resource and Referral Consortium (CCR&R) which is composed of four culturally diverse childcare resource and referral agencies in New York City. ECLW operates six comprehensive projects:

  • Infant Toddler and Mental Health Services
  • Family Child Care Networks
  • Korean Child Care Project
  • IT Child Mental Health Services
  • Community Recovery & Safety Services
  • Child Care Assistance Program

The division aims to serve the childcare needs of families through educationassistanceon subsidy applications information and referrals as well as increase the supply and quality of childcare services through coaching assessment-based & intensive technicalassistance mental health & health care consultancy and professional development.

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Program Supervisor the program assistant willbe responsible forclerical tasks filingorganizingand ensuring all requireddocumentsare properly in place and stored.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform general clerical tasks such as filing copying mailing tracking and program administration
  • Maintain confidential records reports and files
  • Assist with data tracking
  • Assist with keeping track of events for families
  • Assist with wellness check-ins follow-up and support
  • Answer phones and returning calls
  • Support Family Wellness Specialist with eligibility determination intakes as needed
  • Email/mail CCAP information to parents and/or childcare providers
  • Monitor and track office equipment office supply inventory and prepare requisition for the replenishment of materials as needed
  • Attend meetings with internal departments and externalstakeholders
  • Other duties requested by ECLW director or Program Supervisor


Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in community engagement or other forms of direct service

Skills and Competencies:

  • Must be fluent in English and Spanish
  • Excellent email and telephone etiquette
  • Proficient in data entry and MS office tools: Word and Excel
  • Demonstrates cultural competence with immigrant communities
  • Ability to work independently take initiative be adaptable and flexible and be self-motivated

Additional Requirements:

  • Able to work some Saturdays
  • Willing to travel to engagewith families and community service providers withinQueens
  • Comfortableworkingin an office on-site sitting at a desk and using a computer andtelephone

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS OVERVIEW

  • $20.00 - $22.00 per hour; 21 hours per week with occasional weekends as needed
  • CPC offers eligible part-time staff members mandatory benefits including paid New York State sick time and including but not limited to Commuter Benefits and a 403(b) Retirement Plan
