The Preventive Maintenance Planner is responsible for developing scheduling and optimizing preventive maintenance (PM) activities for production and facility equipment to ensure the reliability safety and efficiency of equipment and systems. This role supports the maintenance team by ensuring PM tasks are well-planned documented and executed on schedule minimizing unplanned downtime and extending asset life.

What You Will Do:

• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs for all critical production and facility equipment.

• Analyze equipment history and performance data to determine appropriate PM intervals and procedures.

• Schedule and coordinate PM activities in alignment with production demands to reduce operational disruptions.

• Create detailed job plans that include tools parts labor safety requirements and step-by-step instructions.

• Ensure PM tasks are accurately entered tracked and closed out in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).

• Maintain PM master data ensuring updates for equipment changes new assets or improved maintenance strategies.

• Collaborate with maintenance technicians production staff and engineering to improve PM effectiveness.

• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance for all preventive maintenance activities.

• Order or reserve parts and materials needed for scheduled PM tasks.

• Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Perform running inspections of machines to ensure any issues outside of the normal PM are addressed to reduce impact to production.

What You Will Learn:

• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance for all preventive maintenance activities.

Qualifications You Must Have :

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field

• Proficiency with CMMS platforms (e.g. SAP PM Maximo eMaint MP2).

• Solid understanding of mechanical electrical and industrial equipment maintenance.

• Strong organizational analytical and communication skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook).

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Aerospace/Defense industry experience.

• Experience in maintenance or maintenance planning with a focus on preventive strategies.

The salary range for this role is 68900 USD - 131100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
