Role and Responsibilities: The Maintenance Technicians responsibilities include but may not be limited to - Responsible for the day-to-day operations of all maintenance activities.
- Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install troubleshoot repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety production maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the plants business goals and objectives.
- Install and maintain production plant equipment emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
- Perform electrical maintenance to include but not limited to replacement or repairs of fixtures (e.g. wall switches and outlets fluorescent bulbs sockets fuses cords etc.)
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems replace or repair parts test and adjust as needed on equipment.
- Perform facility/equipment preventative maintenance activities as qualified.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools and material handling equipment while performing duties.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Support the vision mission and guiding principles of the company.
Qualifications and Education Requirements: - Facility and production preventative maintenance experience required.
- Quality Management Systems training (e.g. ISO 9000).
- Experience utilizing precision measuring instruments (e.g. O.D./I.D. Micrometers Calipers Height and telescoping gauges).
- Experience in hydraulic electrical pneumatic and mechanical systems.
- Experience with welding equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- A work history of compliance to safety quality and productivity standards.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- A work history that supports a good to excellent attendance record
- Detail oriented approach to daily work activities
- Results oriented and communicates effectively with managers and production staff
- Must be customer service oriented
- Able to work well in a team-oriented work environment.
Preferred Skills: - At least 5 years experience in a facility maintenance related position
- Manufacturing experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in troubleshooting repairing and maintaining production equipment
- Ability to read interpret and understand Maintenance Work Orders
Physical requirements: - Walking Standing Sitting Kneeling Stooping (Frequently)
- Lifting Carrying up to 50 pounds (Occasionally)
- Temperatures (Occasionally)
- Ability to climb ladder and step ladder (Occasionally)
