JOB SUMMARY Sizer School a North Central Charter Essential School is immediately seeking a full-time Math teacher for students in Grade 8. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to incorporate inclusive teaching practices and advance the success of all students through engaging lessons active learning and the strategic use of data and assessments. Experience teaching in a diverse school environment RESPONSIBILITIES (May include but not limited to:)Teaches Pre-Algebra courses for Grade with Learning Specialists and Math Interventionist to differentiate strong knowledge of Massachusetts Math Curriculum the learning and growth of all students by providing high-quality and coherent instruction; Sets high standards for student work effort and standards-based units of instruction and lesson plans with measurable outcomes and challenging instructional and management practices that establish high expectations and create a safe and effective classroom instruction materials and assessments to make challenging material accessible to all students including English learners and students with as an advisor to a group of students and works to shape curriculum and practice to support the whole on the effectiveness of lessons units and interactions with students both individually and with colleagues and uses insights gained to improve practice and student in school-wide and subject specific professional development and grade level team the learning and growth of all students through ethical culturally proficient skilled and collaborative informal and formal assessment methods and feedback practices to measure and improve student learning and data to inform instruction monitor progress and identify students in need of targeted instruction/ and engages students and promotes opportunities for students to generate understanding on their own through real world inclusive instructional practices to account for differences in students learning collaboration in the context of math instruction and learning Knowledge of differentiated instruction and assessmentAbility to design and/or modify curriculum; experience assessing student competencies Ability to create and use authentic resources and materials to motivate students to participate in learning experiences and of diversity belonging equity and inclusion practices. QUALIFICATIONSDedication to the Sizer School Degree in Math education or related field from an accredited college or university; Masters degree DESE License with SEI Endorsement preferred. Mandatory within the first year of experience in teaching in a diverse school environment. Innovative team player with proven history of to build strong relationships with students staff and with IXL or other student data progress monitoring to pass CORI and National Criminal Background Check.
