Position Overview

We seek a Senior Accountant to join our Financial Administration team. The Senior Accountant reports to the Senior Manager Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting and is accountable for the overall integrity of the general ledger timely preparation of financial statements support of budgeting and forecasting activities and preparing and reviewing general journal entries and account quarterly support for external filings. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who possesses strong analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger through regular journal entries reconciliations and analysis of account balances.
  • Prepare and review monthly quarterly and annual general ledger account reconciliations ensuring balances are appropriately supported
  • Support the preparation of internal financials 10-Qs 10-Ks earnings releases and other investor materials
  • Interpret monthly quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures
  • Assist with general ledger close processes such as allocations FX rates internal report preparation and consolidation
  • Assist with external auditor requests related to quarterly reviews annual audits and SOX 404 audits
  • Train mentor and oversee staff accountants fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve accounting processes increase efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
  • Participate in special projects ad hoc analyses and cross-functional initiatives as requested by management

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in accounting.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Trustworthy with attention to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with ERP systemssuch as Oracle and Workday
  • Previous experience working for a US publicly traded company preferred.
  • Experience with SOX controls preferred.

Salary and other compensation

A good-faith estimate of the annual base salary range for this position is $92500 - $100000. Stating pay within this range may vary based on factors such as education level experience skills geographic location market conditions and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for additional bonus incentive compensation.
