SENIOR Mental Health Direct Care Professionals

(SENIOR Residential Service Technicians)

Pay rate: $23.00 / hour

The Opportunity Alliance has five separate adult residential programs in Portland and South Portland ME. Each of these programs supports 8 -12 adults at a time. These are

24-hour residential treatment programs providing a supportive living environment using an integrated health model recognizing the unique needs of each resident.

The Senior Residential Services Technicians are technical positions that provide direct services in support of the lives of people residing in the program. These positions contribute to the accomplishment of the Agency mission through the provision of direct service contributing to the co-occurring treatment of the program.

This Senior role will fill the job responsibilities of a Residential Services Technician by contributing to and identifying needs or emerging needs physical and mental health wellbeing medication administration personal support watchful oversight and milieu management. This role is responsible for supporting a clean and organized facility and in maintaining staff office charts and documentation. Additionally this Senior role may supervise the Awake Overnight and Relief RSTs

These positions attend weekly or bi-weekly staff meetings and participate in other meetings as necessary.

Work is performed reviewed and evaluated under the supervision of the Program Director.

Schedule: Full-Time 40 hours per week.

  • These programs operate on a 24 hour/day 7 days a week basis. Willingness to have availability on weekends/holidays may be required.

Location: on-site in South Portland

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of experience in mental health preferred.
  • Must become certified as Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician 1 (MHRT1) within 1 year of employment; then maintain required trainings to uphold continuous MHRT1 status.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background child protective service check & sex offender check.
  • Must not be on the state or federal suspension and disbarment list.
  • Must pass CNA registry check
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and TB screen.
  • Must be able to exert moderate physical effort with occasional standing walking reaching stooping bending kneeling crouching typing and frequently lift and carry small children or material weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Driving may be necessary to attend meetings and trainings and for the occasional need to meet with clients offsite and within the program service area. This may include transportation of clients or driving to agency location to complete work in your own vehicle for which mileage can be reimbursed. A good driving record is required.
