DescriptionThe Division of Clinical Core Laboratory Services (CCLS) has an opportunity for an Associate Consultant. CCLS is a diverse group of laboratories dedicated primarily to the support of the Mayo Clinic practice in Minnesota by providing specimen collection processing analysis and reporting. Eleven doctoral-level lab directors and more than 500 allied health staff work in the division. This position is in our Central Clinical Lab which is a high-volume complex laboratory performing over 5 million tests annually. This position will require the candidate to provide:
- Clinical coverage and oversight
- Support for test validation and quality systems
- Regulatory and compliance continuity
- Mentoring and academic engagement
- On-call support
QualificationsThis position requires the candidate to have completed Clinical Pathology residency training and to be boarded by the American Board of Pathology in Clinical Pathology or having completed a COMACC-accredited Clinical Chemistry fellowship and boarded by American Board of Clinical Chemistry National Register of Certified Chemists or another board qualifying as experience within the Clinical Core Laboratory Services testing laboratories is preferred but not required.
