Assured Insurance Technologies is seeking a Product Expert with a deep specialization in liability determination to serve as an advisor and subject-matter expert (SME) within our organization. This role will focus on reviewing validating and enhancing our liability assessment product with the ultimate goal of improving the accuracy defensibility and transparency of liability predictions. It will influence how that information flows through systems and where enhancements can meaningfully impact claim outcomes cycle time reserving accuracy and financial performance.

This is not a traditional adjusting role. Instead you will work closely with Product Engineering and Data teams and apply your expertise to shape how liability is structured evaluated and surfaced within a modern technology platform.

What youll do

Conduct an end-to-end review of liability assessment within claims
Examine how fault is determined documented updated and used from FNOL through resolution including shared liability comparative negligence and evolving investigations.

Develop deep expertise in how liability is captured and supported by data
Understand what information adjusters rely on (statements police reports scene evidence damages witness accounts) how it is structured in the system and where critical gaps exist.

Identify breakdowns in liability documentation and workflow
Surface inconsistencies in fault coding incomplete documentation reserve misalignment approval bottlenecks or downstream reporting issues tied to liability determinations.

Support the integrity of liability-related data across systems
Ensure liability indicators percentage of fault exposure evaluation and related financial impacts are accurately captured and consistently reflected.

Define standards for liability accuracy and defensibility
Establish expectations for documentation quality decision rationale updates to liability stance and alignment between investigation findings and reserves or settlements.

Partner cross-functionally to resolve root causes
Collaborate with Product Engineering Claims Operations and Leadership to address systemic issues affecting liability clarity and decision quality.

Improve both inputs and outputs tied to liability decisions
Enhance how evidence and fault indicators are collected and structured and improve how liability insights are surfaced in dashboards reporting audits and financial views.

Influence decisions with financial and operational context
Clearly articulate the business impact of liability accuracy including reserve adequacy indemnity outcomes subrogation potential and compliance risk.

Serve as the internal subject-matter expert on liability assessment
Guide best practices for evaluating fault documenting rationale and maintaining defensible claim files.

You have

Prior experience working at a major carrier as a claims adjuster

Deep understanding of liability evaluation within P&C claims (including comparative negligence and litigation exposure)
Experience working closely with product engineering and operational teams
Proven ability to assess complex workflows and identify high-impact improvements
Comfort owning ambiguous high-leverage initiatives with measurable financial impact
Strong written and verbal communication skills
