Job Summary

We are targeting seniors / rising seniors that have an interest in sales for the Summer.

We are seeking self-motivated Sales Interns that are excited to learn more about account management and sales techniques in a fast-paced essential industry. The Sales Intern will report to the Sales Engagement Manager. To be successful as a Sales Intern you must have a solid work ethic and a knack for customer service.

What Youll Do:

Actively participate in IELs new hire training program focusing on operations and customer service skills.
Work alongside an experienced Logistics Account Executive on the sales floor
Perform various account management tasks such as load building appointment scheduling phone management and email correspondence
Negotiate rates with carriers
Ensure timely pick-up and delivery of goods by making dispatch and check calls
Apply what youve learned and begin making prospecting calls to potential customers

What You Bring:

Problem solving skills and a strong attention to detail
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting
A positive attitude and the ability to communicate effectively
High school graduate or equivalent
Proficiency in keyboarding and ability to maintain the technical knowledge necessary to perform the job effectively specifically Microsoft Office products
Genuine interest in a sales career
Active enrollment in a degree-granting academic program
