South Shore Public Health Collaborative Regional Public Social Worker Full-time 35 hours per week.
$80-$90k. The position is full-time and grant-funded through June 2027 with ananticipated extension through June 2030.
Position Overview:
The Regional Public Social Worker provides short-term counseling and casemanagement services to adults ages 1860 within the member communities of the SouthShore Public Health Collaborative including Cohasset Scituate and Hingham. The positionaddresses a range of needs such as mental health concerns substance use hoarding/clutterveterans issues and related challenges. Responsibilities include program development andimplementation delivery of clinical expertise and coordination of services through partnershipswith municipal departments health agencies and community organizations. The role requireseffective communication organization and collaboration to engage diverse populations andsupport service delivery across multiple communities.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide case management services focusing primarily on a target population of 18-60 assess and refer individuals to mental health medical supportive and protective services agencies as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:Masters Degree or higher from an accredited college or universitywith a specialization in social work and licensed as a Licensed Independent Clinical SocialWorker (LICSW) in the state of Massachusetts. The role requires at least five years ofprofessional social work experience and parttime work internships and relevant volunteerexperience may be applied toward meeting this requirement. Equivalent combinations ofeducation and experience that demonstrate the necessary skills and competencies will also beconsidered.
Preffered Qualifications:Demonstrated experience in the delivery of clinical and socialservices along with a strong track record of developing and facilitating programs that addressmental health substance use hoarding or clutter challenges veterans issues and otherrelated social service needs.
