Optical Sales Associate

Job Summary

At Vision Integrated Partners we are a busy ophthalmology practice seeking an experienced Optical Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. The position of Optical Sales Associate requires the individual to meet the Basic Requirements and satisfactorily perform all or any combination of the Tasks and Responsibilities (listed below). This role focuses on customer service sales support and assisting patients with eyewear selection while supporting the overall operations of the optical department.

Some of the responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Greet patients and visitors courteously and professionally
• Answer telephones appropriately and direct calls as needed
• Assist customers with frame and lens selection
• Provide information regarding optical products pricing and promotions
• Maintain accurate patient and sales records
• Assist with purchasing stocking and maintaining frame inventory
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the optical area
• Assist with daily reports including basic sales and cash flow documentation

Experience Requirements

• A minimum of one (1) year previous retail sales or customer service experience preferred
• Ability to assist customers with eyewear selection based on comfort lifestyle and budget
• Basic computer skills required
• Good communication and organizational skills
• High degree of reliability dependability and accuracy

Customer Service / Interpersonal Skill Requirements

• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
• Ability to handle and manage stressful situations
• Ability to manage patients occasional anger fear or hostility in a professional manner

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum High School graduate or equivalent
• Preferably previous retail sales or customer service experience or training
• Preferably previous medical office or insurance experience or training
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Ability to establish and maintain positive patient rapport
• High degree of reliability dependability and accuracy
