Job Summary

An exciting career opportunity is available for a driven and detail-oriented Category Specialist to join a dynamic and fast-paced professional environment.

Requirements:

Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science or (NQF Level 4)
Degree in Business Administration/ Finance/ Supply Chain/ Legal or NQF 7 equivalent
At least 3-5 years Contract Administration and Management (Mining Industry)
Proven experience in category management or similar role
Strong analytical problem-solving and organizational skills
Computer literate (MS Office SAP MM)

Responsibilities:

Contract Law and its application in the sourcing process
Procurement and Tender Process
Relevant Legislation Policies and Procedures
Contract Administration and Compliance Monitoring
Ability to understand and interpret strategic plans focused both on external and internal trends
Customer focused mind-set and approach
Project Administration
To assist the relevant Category Manager in achieving the procurement goals and strategy.
The specialist function includes prioritizing commodity imperatives aligned with the commodity cycle planning aimed at reducing the cost of commodities goods and services procured by the company.
