Summary of Job Duties:

We are seeking a dedicated individual who thrives on delivering exceptional customer service to join our team at the Family Medical Center in Fort Smith as an Access Coordinator this role youll be the first point of contactanswering incoming calls returning voicemails and ensuring patients receive prompt assistance. Youll accurately obtain patient details verify and update contact and insurance information and schedule appointments to keep our clinic running smoothly. Transfer calls efficiently and manage work queues to support our teams success. Additionally youll handle quarterly recalls for Well Child visits and serve as a backup for front desk duties including patient check-ins insurance verification payment processing and maintaining patient records.

This full-time position offers Monday through Friday hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with opportunities to contribute to a dynamic and caring healthcare environment. Be part of a team that makes a differenceapply today!


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Two (2) years of customer service experience

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Telephone Etiquette

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Proficiency in Epic and other healthcare software.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Knowledge of insurance verifications and billing procedures


Additional Information:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls and return patient voicemails promptly.

  • Obtain and verify patient demographics including date of birth address and phone number.

  • Schedule patient appointments as requested.

  • Transfer calls to appropriate departments.

  • Manage work queues efficiently.

  • Complete quarterly recalls for Well Child appointments.

  • Backup front desk duties to ensure continuous coverage.

  • Verify insurance and update patient information.

  • Collect payments and balance cash drawer.

  • Prepare deposits and manage daily transactions.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
