Responsibilities
- Identify pest problems and determine appropriate pesticide treatments.
- Measure mix and prepare pesticide solutions or baits according to instructions and safety regulations.
- Apply pesticides in various environments including landscapes agricultural lands and outside public spaces.
- Operate equipment such as sprayers foggers and bait stations.
- Maintain accurate records of pesticide use for regulatory compliance.
- Clean and service equipment after each use.
- Stay updated on new pesticide products application techniques and regulations.
- Educate clients or team members on pest management and preventive measures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (some roles may require post-secondary education in horticulture or agronomy).
- Proven experience in pest control or pesticide application.
- Strong knowledge of pest biology pesticide safety and integrated pest management (IPM) principles.
- Ability to operate specialized pesticide application equipment.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs bend squat and stand for extended periods.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Clean driving record and ability to pass background checks and drug tests (if required).
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in agricultural or commercial pest control settings.
- Familiarity with data management systems for tracking pesticide use.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid pesticide applicator certification
Required Experience:
IC
