Responsibilities

Identify pest problems and determine appropriate pesticide treatments.
Measure mix and prepare pesticide solutions or baits according to instructions and safety regulations.
Apply pesticides in various environments including landscapes agricultural lands and outside public spaces.
Operate equipment such as sprayers foggers and bait stations.
Maintain accurate records of pesticide use for regulatory compliance.
Clean and service equipment after each use.
Stay updated on new pesticide products application techniques and regulations.
Educate clients or team members on pest management and preventive measures.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED (some roles may require post-secondary education in horticulture or agronomy).
Proven experience in pest control or pesticide application.
Strong knowledge of pest biology pesticide safety and integrated pest management (IPM) principles.
Ability to operate specialized pesticide application equipment.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs bend squat and stand for extended periods.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Clean driving record and ability to pass background checks and drug tests (if required).

Preferred Skills:

Experience in agricultural or commercial pest control settings.
Familiarity with data management systems for tracking pesticide use.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid pesticide applicator certification
