As a Locum MD Hospitalist you will be responsible for managing a diverse patient population conducting comprehensive assessments and implementing effective treatment plans. Your role will significantly impact patient outcomes as you work closely with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure exceptional care delivery.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment protocols as necessary
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Participate in hospital rounds and interdisciplinary meetings
- Ensure compliance with medical regulations and standards
Requirements
- MD degree from an accredited medical school
- Current medical licensure in the state of practice
- Experience in Internal Medicine preferably in a hospitalist role
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and quality improvement
- Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is a plus
Schedule: 12-hour shifts
Patient Volume: 90-100 per day 7-12 admits per night
Support Staff: Hospitalist APP
EMR: Cerner
Must be board-certified
