Senior Program Manager - Hiring our Heroes - Cohort 26-1

Do you want to work hard have fun and make history Do you think fast dive deep and get things done We are seeking a Senior Program Manager to join Alexa Devices team and be part of building Alexa.

In this role you will lead the concept development and launch of Alexa devices. You will work closely with a high-energy team consisting of HW OS and software engineering user experience finance marketing customer service and Amazon leadership and ship devices to customers globally. You will lead teams through high complexity and ambiguity product development cycles while building excellent intuition for one-way door this role you will also work on hardware systems and platform Software/OS bringing in your unique perspective into the complex systems that make great products.

You will work with a broad array of of technical and non-tech stakeholders from design to architecture and core technologies all the way through product development and commercialization. You will have visibility at the highest levels of Amazon Devices leadership team. You will innovate on new devices features and experiences even as you manage the operational rigor of rolling out high quality devices on time and within budget. Finally you will ship Alexa Devices to millions of customers.

This role is a good fit for someone who has strong customer focus and product sense combined with an established track record in consumer technology products and connected devices.

Key job responsibilities
- Manage Operational relationships with support teams and internal operations business partners to drive increased performance
- Demonstrate analytical and quantitative skills and ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases
- Effectively interact and collaborate with Customers Project Sponsors Technical Product Managers and multiple internal teams to define and deliver complex solutions
- Proactively recognize and drive opportunities to simplify processes
- Contribute to and influence technical designs
- Drive effective teamwork communication collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities
- Lead the effective and efficient delivery of large complex technical projects and programs
- Anticipate bottlenecks provide escalation management anticipate and make tradeoffs and balance business needs with technical constraints
- Identify assess track and mitigate issues and risks at multiple levels
- Create maintain and disseminate program information to stakeholders
- Travel up to 25%

- 5 years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy end to end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership

- 2 years of driving process improvements experience
- Masters degree or MBA in business operations human resources adult education organizational development instructional design or related field

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
