Work hours: Full Time (36 Hour) Night Shift; 8P-8A x3 shifts per week

Heres What You Need

Education

• Nursing Diploma required Or

• Associates Degree Nursing required Or

• Bachelors Degree Nursing preferred

Experience

• 3 years as a Registered Nurse in Emergency and/or Critical Care Setting required

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse upon hire required

• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support upon hire required

• ACLS- Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire required

• PALS- Pediatric Advanced Life Support 90 days required

• CPI- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training 60 days required

What You Will Do

OPERATIONS & CLINICAL RESPONSE

• Responds to emergency situations such as Codes RRTs and Behavioral Health Emergencies

• Responds to emergencies rapid response or clinically complex events and serves as a clinical resource during emergency situations.

• Engages in clinical team activities for midline and PICC line placement as appropriate.

CUSTOMER SUPPORT/PATIENT EXPERIENCE

• Responds to patient visitor and physician concerns

• Provides support during challenging interpersonal or care coordination situations and escalates concerns appropriately

• Offers communication support to patients and families during difficult situations and engages appropriate leadership when escalation is needed

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT/PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTABILITY

• Continuing professional education and growth through formal and informal means

• Seeking learning opportunities for professional growth and role enhancement

• Continues to develop nursing knowledge and skills including clinical decision-making critical thinking and evidence based practice

QUALITY IMPROVEMENT

• Assists in the identification of ineffective and costly processes and takes action to improve those processes

• Incorporates evidence-based practice and research to monitor and continuously impact outcomes

• Provides evidence of participation in process improvement activities

• Delegation- Ability to appropriately delegate tasks within the RN scope of practice and provide guidance to unlicensed personnel as needed.
