Overview
The Instructional Technology Coordinator drives the effective integration of technology in educational settings by exemplifying best practices in technology-enhanced instructional design. This role supports the creation and implementation of instructional materials fostering a unified vision among staff and educators. The Instructional Technology Coordinator works with school leadership to assess technology-related professional development needs and designs refines and delivers professional learning programs that enhance student outcomes. These programs are aimed at equipping educators with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively integrate technology into their teaching practices ultimately leading to improved student outcomes.
Responsibilities
1. Partner with curriculum staff and administrators to select evaluate and implement digital learning resources that align with educational goals and standards.
2. Assist school staff to ensure that digital tools are effectively integrated into the curriculum to enhance learning experiences.
3. Assesses professional learning needs related to technology to develop refine and disseminate comprehensive professional development programs instructional practices and positive student outcomes.
4. Remain current with emerging classroom technologies and instructional design theories. Evaluate and recommend new tools and practices that can be integrated into the learning environment to keep the institution at the forefront of educational technology.
5. Provide basic technical support for commonly used digital tools ensuring that teachers and staff can effectively utilize these resources without technical difficulties.
6. Oversee the growth and development of digital media center content and resources. Ensure that the media center is a dynamic and up-to-date resource for students and staff.
7. Cultivate a shared vision for technology integration among staff and teachers. Lead initiatives that promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in the use of technology in education.
8. Utilize data to inform decisions about technology integration and professional development. Analyze the impact of technology on student learning and adjust strategies as needed.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid teaching certification or professional educator license preferred
Instructional Technology or Educational Technology certification preferred
Microsoft Certified Educator (MCE) Google Certified Educator (Level 1 or 2) or comparable educational technology certifications preferred
EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree(s) in education special education instructional technology educational technology curriculum & instruction or related field required.
Masters degree in Instructional Technology Educational Technology Curriculum & Instruction Educational Leadership preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of five years of classroom experience in an educational setting is required including extensive experience with digital classroom technologies.
