The position of Staff Assistant at the Sam Noble Museum is a forward-facing customer service position that provides external and internal customer service and support for scheduling and school field trips coordinating group and field trips reservations managing multiple email inboxes and general operations at the front desk as part of the Visitor Services Team. This position will also be responsible for reserving and booking educational discovery kits answering inquiries (in person by phone and email) from the public processing payments filing paperwork and communicating with staff and other departments regarding resources and scheduling. This position will require frequent and positive interaction with the public as well as other museum staff. The Staff Assistant will have the ability to learn specific software applications for booking registrations applying payments making online platform updates and the ability to work accurately and efficiently with numbers and confidential information. This position will be cross trained to work with our gift store and special events teams to become a valuable member of our Visitor Services Department. The standard work week is Wednesday to Sunday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm but may include evenings and holidays.
