Atlantic Unions Summer Internship program is a professional development opportunity for local students to gain practical work experience helping students become better prepared to enter into the financial industry post-graduation. Students have the ability to build professional networks and receive training and mentoring throughout the program.
Atlantic Unions Community Impact Team Intern Program is designed to give college students an introduction into project coordination data management and stakeholder communication while gaining insight into how a financial institution drives meaningful community impact. It is our intent to give the Intern real assignments. Assignments that stretch the Intern provide the Intern with valuable experience and allow the Intern to contribute to the Community Impact Team Department.
Position Accountabilities
The Intern is provided assignments that include the entire operational and administrative support to the CIT grants programs. The intern will also get the opportunity to:
- Assist with grant coordination and communication
- Coordinate networking/volunteer events
- Organize maintain and update share drive content
- Shadow Community Impact Team Grant Manager
Organizational Relationship
This position reports to the AVP Community Impact Grants Program Manager Linda Hall and has a Richmond (Hybrid M/F) residency.
Position Qualifications
Education Experience and Position Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Currently working on degree (Open)
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university is required and Students must be undergraduates entering their junior or senior year or currently pursuing a graduate level degree
- Must be available to work a 40-hour week Monday through Friday
- Must submit a resume and cover letter highlighting accomplishments professional and academic goals and expectations of this internship position
- Submission of transcripts and two professional or academic references
Knowledge & Skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication and organization skills
- Must be able to function well with indirect supervision
