JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Under the direction of the Executive Director the Director of Operations and Technology and Business Development provides oversight and direction of simulation operations technology and business development within the Center for Healthcare Improvement and Patient Simulation(CHIPS). This position leads CHIPS in the direction of daily operations for the simulation facility operational team logistics quality improvement measures focused on organizational effectiveness as well as fiscal management for operational needs. This position assists the Executive Director in advisement on the operations technology and resources within the simulation program and strategic planning for organizational growth.



Responsibilities
  1. Assists in the direction of operations within CHIPS including management of the simulation facility operations administration personnel and financial allocation of resources.
  2. Provides management of direct reports on the simulation operations and logistics workforce at CHIPS.
  3. Develops plans and road maps for CHIPS employees simulation development with additional certifications state national and international organizations.
  4. Oversees CHIPS operational data collection and generates reports for campus impact leadership and accrediting bodies.
  5. Develops operational budget and fiscal management and assists the Executive Director in planning and budgeting for CHIPS.
  6. Collaborates with CHIPS Administrator to ensure programmatic alignment and fiscal responsibility for operational needs.
  7. Develops short- and long-term goals to ensure all of the operations align with the mission and vision of the program.
  8. Assists the Executive Director in advisement on the operations technology and resources within the simulation program
  9. Participates in developing strategic goals for CHIPS in association with the Executive Director that aligns with the mission and vision of the program.
  10. Directs assessment of operational strategies and processes to improve organizational efficiencies return on investment for programming and program impact.
  11. Creates dashboards and data reports and analyses of the CHIPS program for external dissemination to campus leadership program stakeholders and external partners.
  12. Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

EDUCATION:Masters Degree. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)

EXPERIENCE: Seven (7) years of experience in healthcare simulation; ORBachelors Degree and nine (9) years of experience in healthcare simulation. (Certification in the healthcare simulation field CHSOS is preferred.)

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of best practices in simulation: clinical and educational practices and interprofessional education competencies.
  • Knowledge of international simulation accreditation requirements and procedures/processes.
  • Ability to manage a budget.

WORK SCHEDULE:This position may occasionally be required to work weekends and evenings. May require occasional overnight travel.
